Forest School & Outdoor Learning
Forest School and outdoor learning provides a non classroom environment where children can problem solve, develop their thinking skills, recognise and assess risks for themselves. As well as learn new skills like the use of tools, knots, tree knowledge, camp fires and den building but most importantly having the freedom to enjoy the outdoors and have fun.

Liz Budgen is an experienced Level 3 Forest School Leader with extensive experience of running Forest School Sessions in pre-schools and primary schools.Liz is passionate about the need for children to use the outdoors in education. She also is a qualified pre-school practitioner.
Rachel Bullivant is a trainee Forest School Leader. She has a passion for he outdoors and has extensive experience of working with plants and trees.
Sarah Burnham-Slipper is a qualified Pre-school practitioner and she is also an experienced Level 3 Forest School Leader. Sarah believes strongly in children using natural materials such as clay and wood to create useful and beautiful objects whilst gaining essential practical skills. From September 2017 Sarah will be based in Dusseldorf, Germany. What this space as The School Under The Sky expands to Germany!
- Letters home detailing when your sessions will run and what the children need;
- Planning sheets for each session
- Tools and equipment
- Risk assessments.
We are available for:
- Regular sessions (we recommend a minimum 6 week course)
- 1 off day or half day sessions
